I like the post. It is really very important to have an SEO for your website in order to rank it as much high as possible and it seems that if any one who has a website never hired an SEO services for there websites will very soon find his website being rank the lowest in any page rank. Ra, I can’t agree with those figures I’m sorry, I think its more 70% Google and the other 30% split between the others.

Ken, you’re right about the backlinks, they’re the most important part of SEO imo (type click here into Google and see how Adobe’s backlinks make it the number 1 result, when they don’t even mention the words click, or here, anywhere on the page). It’s just finding them that can sometimes be difficult.

the most important thing when doing search engine optimization is get a good amount of backlinks first. when you have a sufficient amount of backlinks, then you can start optimizing in page links, keyword density and other factors which affects your ranking.

I feel that SEO is useful in the promotion of sites. It increases business. Total business is divided in 3 parts. 50% of business comes from Google, 25% come from Yahoo and rest of 25% comes from rest search engine msn etc…That’s why everyone is following SEO. Via SEO it is easy to get top ten ranking in Google to drive more traffic to their websites.
